Accessibility in Stonegate: Wildbound

NovoBuild wants Stonegate: Wildbound to be understandable, responsive, and fair. This page describes the accessibility-related features in the current version, known limitations, and how players can provide feedback.

Current accessibility-related features

Movement-focused controls

The game uses a simple, movement-focused control set with touch controls designed for landscape play, plus keyboard and controller support in compatible builds. There are no combat input combinations to learn.

Readable, fixed-screen rooms

Each room is a fixed screen without camera scrolling during play. Routes, ladders, vines, hazards, and exits are visually distinct, and room names are shown in the interface.

The objective is communicated through written messages, and no spoken dialogue or audio-only instruction is required to understand the story or how to progress.

Fair recovery

After water, falls, or loss of health, the explorer returns safely to an entrance within the current room. Collected treasure remains collected, so an ordinary fall never causes the rapid loss of large sections of expedition progress.

There is no time limit required to complete the main objective, and individual rooms can be restarted and retried.

Audio

Current audio communicates actions such as jumping, landing, taking damage, collecting treasure, moving between rooms, and completing the expedition. Audio provides feedback but is not required to understand the objective.

Controls

iPhone and iPad

  • Move: directional control on the left side.
  • Climb: press up or down near a ladder or climbable route.
  • Jump: JUMP button on the right.
  • Release a vine: press JUMP while swinging.
  • Drop through a ledge: hold down and press JUMP.

Full keyboard and controller mappings are listed on the Wildbound support page. Both pages are kept synchronized when controls change.

Visual presentation

The game uses fixed rooms and emphasizes silhouettes and readable obstacle placement. The website does not yet claim formal compliance with a color-vision, low-vision, or flashing-content standard; dedicated testing for those standards has not been completed.

Current limitations

To be candid, the present build has not yet confirmed support for the following. This section is updated whenever one of these features is added.

  • VoiceOver or screen-reader support.
  • Control remapping.
  • Adjustable interface text size.
  • High-contrast mode.
  • Colorblind display modes.
  • Separate volume sliders.
  • One-handed control mode.
  • Switch Control support.
  • Reduced-motion mode.
  • Adjustable game speed.
  • Difficulty or assist-mode settings.

Accessibility feedback

Accessibility work improves through direct player feedback. If a control, visual element, sound, timing challenge, or website feature prevents you from playing or obtaining support, please contact NovoBuild and select the “Accessibility feedback” category.

When you get in touch, it helps to include:

  • Device model.
  • iOS version.
  • Game version.
  • A description of the barrier.
  • A suggested improvement, if you wish to provide one.

Website accessibility

NovoBuild aims to make this website usable with keyboard navigation, screen readers, text enlargement, and reduced-motion preferences. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us and identify the page and the problem. We do not claim conformance with a specific WCAG version and level until the site has been audited against it.
