Accessibility in Retune

This page describes the accessibility-related features currently implemented in Retune: Rule Drift, a known limitation, and how players can provide feedback.

Controls

Retune offers large tap controls that can be placed on the left or right side of the screen, plus a swipe-anywhere option. Undo and Reset are always available, and the game is turn-based with no reaction-time challenges.

Presentation

Retune includes Dark, Light, and System appearances with high-contrast rule symbols. Rotate, Mirror, and Freeze use different shapes as well as different colors, so no rule is communicated by color alone. Landscape layouts are provided for both iPhone and iPad.

Sound and haptics

Sound and haptics are optional and can each be switched off. The game remains fully understandable when muted.

Motion

A Reduced Motion setting is available for players who prefer minimal animation.

Current limitation

Retune’s custom puzzle board does not yet provide a complete VoiceOver play experience. NovoBuild is continuing to evaluate accessible ways to describe and operate spatial puzzle states without reducing clarity.

Feedback

If an accessibility issue prevents you from playing or understanding Retune, contact NovoBuild through the contact page or at support@novobuild.net. Please include the device model, iOS version, and the part of the game that created difficulty.
