Accessibility in Modstack
Modstack is awaiting App Store review. This page describes the accessibility commitments guiding its design; it will be updated to reflect the verified feature set when the game ships.
Controls
Every action is a large, tappable command tile — the game never requires typed code. Tiles can be placed by tap as well as drag, so drag gestures are never the only way to play. Touch targets are designed to be at least 44 points, and no important action depends on hover.
Presentation
Board state is designed to be readable without relying on color alone: tiles pair their color with distinct symbols and text labels, relays are numbered, and powered states are shown with borders and animation as well as color. Text and controls aim for high contrast against the dark interface.
Pace and motion
Modstack is turn-based — programs run only when the player presses Run, and there are no reaction-time challenges. A reduced-motion setting replaces travel and rotation animations with fades and state changes.
Sound
Sound effects are optional and can be switched off. Every audio cue has a visual counterpart, so the game is fully playable in silence. There is no background music and no voice-dependent content. Haptics, where supported, are optional and never the only feedback.
Fair structure
Hints and a first-stack reveal are built into every puzzle at no cost. Failed runs explain what happened, programs stay intact between attempts, and progression never uses timers, streaks, or pressure mechanics.
Feedback
If an accessibility barrier affects your ability to play Modstack, email support@novobuild.net or use the contact page. Accessibility reports are treated as bugs, not suggestions.
