LeanSignal Health & Safety Statement

Effective date: July 17, 2026 · Last updated: July 17, 2026

LeanSignal provides informational interpretations of consumer body measurements and normal variability. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Signal Scores, body-composition estimates, working ranges, forecasts, detections, milestones, and reviews are not clinical measurements or proof that a specific tissue change occurred. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions and whenever you have concerns about your health.

Who LeanSignal is for

  • LeanSignal is designed for adults age 18 and older. Its body-composition methods are not intended for pediatric assessment.

What LeanSignal must not be used for

  • Do not use LeanSignal to start, stop, or change medication or medical treatment.
  • LeanSignal does not monitor symptoms or emergencies.
  • For a suspected medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

Measurement limitations

  • Consumer scales, tape measurements, skinfolds, DEXA scans, device algorithms, and population equations all have limitations. No method is perfectly accurate for every individual.
  • Hydration, meals, exercise, time of day, clothing, technique, age, and individual differences can all influence readings — often by more than the change being looked for.
  • LeanSignal treats DEXA as a calibration reference, not perfect ground truth.
  • Forecast ranges are practical uncertainty guides, not clinical confidence intervals.

Using interpretations responsibly

Important decisions should never be based on one reading or one estimate. LeanSignal is built around period averages, working ranges, and evidence over time precisely because single measurements are unreliable. When LeanSignal reports low confidence or a wide working range, treat that as the honest answer — not a problem to work around.
