Lastmark Privacy Policy

Lastmark is developed by NovoBuild. Lastmark is designed to work without a NovoBuild account, advertising SDK, or developer-operated sync server.
Information stored by Lastmark
Lastmark stores the information you enter or create in the app, including item names, item notes, completion dates and times, completion notes, reminder settings, pin and archive choices, and app preferences. This information is needed to provide the app’s logging, history, reminder, widget, Siri, Shortcuts, backup, and restore features.
Local storage
By default, the Lastmark library is stored locally in protected app storage on your Apple devices. NovoBuild does not receive a copy of this library merely because you use the app.
Optional iCloud sync
Lifetime Pro users may choose to enable private iCloud sync. When enabled, Lastmark uses Apple’s iCloud services associated with the user’s Apple Account to synchronize supported app data. NovoBuild does not operate a separate Lastmark sync server and does not receive the contents of the synced library through this feature. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s policies and the user’s Apple agreements.
Reminders and note phrases
Reminder dates and supported phrases such as “call in a week” are processed on the device. Lastmark uses Apple’s local notification system. NovoBuild does not receive reminder text or notification schedules through this feature.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Lastmark actions with Siri or Shortcuts, Apple processes the request according to the user’s Apple settings and policies. Lastmark uses the resulting action to read or update the local Lastmark library. NovoBuild does not operate a server that receives these requests.
Apple Watch
The Lastmark Apple Watch app exchanges the item information and completion actions needed for the Watch experience with the paired iPhone using Apple platform services. Queued Watch completions may be delivered when the paired devices reconnect. NovoBuild does not receive this information through a Lastmark server.
Widgets
Lastmark widgets use shared protected app storage on the device to display selected items and perform supported actions. Widget visibility is also affected by Apple’s device and Lock Screen security behavior.
Face ID and device authentication
If a Lifetime Pro user enables app lock, Lastmark asks Apple’s authentication system to verify Face ID, Touch ID where available, or the device passcode. Lastmark does not receive or store biometric templates.
Purchases
Lifetime Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. NovoBuild does not receive payment-card details. The app receives the purchase and entitlement information required to unlock Pro and restore the purchase. Apple may provide developers with aggregated sales, proceeds, refund, and transaction information through App Store Connect.
Exports and imports
CSV exports and complete Lastmark backups are created locally. They leave the app only when the user chooses a destination through Apple’s system interfaces. Imported files are read to perform the merge or restore selected by the user. Users are responsible for protecting exported files after sharing or saving them outside Lastmark.
Analytics and advertising
The Lastmark app does not include a third-party advertising SDK or behavioral analytics SDK. NovoBuild does not use Lastmark to build advertising profiles.
Support communications
If you contact NovoBuild for support, NovoBuild receives the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device details, and problem description. Do not send private Lastmark notes or exported libraries unless they are necessary and support specifically requests them. Support correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Data control and deletion
Users can edit or delete items and completion history in Lastmark and can disable optional iCloud sync. Removing Lastmark from a device removes its local app data from that device, subject to Apple’s platform behavior and any device backups. Data previously synchronized through iCloud may remain in the user’s iCloud storage or backups until removed using the relevant Apple tools and settings.
Children’s privacy
Lastmark is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. NovoBuild does not knowingly use Lastmark to collect personal information from children through a developer-operated account or server.
Security
Lastmark uses Apple platform storage, authentication, and communication capabilities designed to protect app data. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should keep their devices and Apple Accounts secure and protect any files they export from Lastmark.
Changes to this policy
NovoBuild may update this policy when Lastmark features, legal requirements, or platform services change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when the policy changes materially.
